A Look at the Club's History
EHC Red Bull München is now one of the most successful ice hockey clubs in Germany. The club’s roots can be traced back to EV Landshut, whose DEL licence was relocated to Munich in 1999. Competing as the Munich Barons, the club quickly established itself in the German Ice Hockey League and won the German Championship as early as 2000. Following the Barons' withdrawal from Munich, EHC München was founded in 2004 and continued to develop steadily in the years that followed, eventually earning promotion to the DEL.
A new era began with Red Bull’s involvement in 2012. Since then, the club has established itself as a permanent fixture in top-level German ice hockey and has won multiple German championships. Numerous domestic successes, regular playoff appearances and participation in international competitions have made EHC Red Bull München one of the most recognised clubs in the DEL.
Today, the club delights its fans at SAP Garden with top-class ice hockey, a state-of-the-art home arena and a passionate fan base. EHC Red Bull München stands for sporting success, professional excellence and premium ice hockey entertainment.
